Install and grant camera access
One drag into Applications, one permission prompt from macOS. That's the whole setup.

Start a locked-in session
Hit start when you sit down to work. Locked In runs quietly in the background and watches head position only.

Get pulled back instantly
Look down at your phone and the screen takes over until you're facing your work again. The loop breaks before you lose twenty minutes.

Click the Apple logo in the top-left of your screen, then About This Mac.
It says Chip: Apple M1 / M2 / M3 / M4
Choose the Apple Silicon download. This covers most Macs sold since late 2020.
It says Processor: Intel
Choose the Intel download. This covers older Macs from 2020 and earlier.
Picked wrong? The app simply won't open. Delete it and grab the other one, nothing breaks.
Questions
Is my camera footage stored or sent anywhere?+
No. Frames are analysed on your Mac in memory and thrown away instantly. There is no server to send them to, no account attached to them, and the app works with your internet disconnected.
Will it drain my battery?+
It runs a small, hardware-accelerated model on the GPU rather than a heavy cloud pipeline. Expect an impact comparable to a video call, and only while a session is active.
Does it work with an external monitor or a laptop stand?+
Yes, as long as your camera can see your face. Fine-grained calibration for unusual angles and tilted laptops is on the roadmap.
Why does macOS ask for camera permission?+
Because look-down detection needs to see your head position. macOS requires explicit consent, and you can revoke it any time in System Settings under Privacy & Security.
Is there a Windows version?+
Not yet. macOS came first. If you want Windows, download nothing and tell us anyway, demand decides what gets built next.
What does it cost?+
Nothing right now. This is an early build and the people using it shape where it goes. Paid plans come later, once it has genuinely earned it.
